Metro Intersection Program

The intersection program was established to improve mobility and safety for all modes of transportation at safety deficient intersections within Metro Nashville. As part of the Program T-Square performed the following tasks:

• Identify current roadway geometrics;
• Evaluate existing safety and geometrics;
• Conduct traffic/pedestrian counts, signal timings, and speed studies;
• Establish background traffic projections;
• Determine future impacts;
• Establish traffic projections;
• Conduct existing and projected capacity analyses;
• • Establish conceptual improvement recommendations.
